Great Scott Careers, Inc. (GSC), having been founded in 2009, is a relatively new company but its counselors are highly experienced and have a proven track record. As a result, GSC has an impressive list of contacts and candidates. GSC was formed by Joseph Scott (Scott) after he had left another recruiting firm as its President after 12 years. While there, he established that firm's tax recruiting practice and grew it to the largest in the New York tri-state area.
Scott is GSC's President and has overall operational responsibility. He is well-qualified to lead the company, with professional experience in each of GSC's principal practice areas in addition to recruiting.
GSC's recruiting and placements practice focuses on accountants, internal auditors, public accountants, auditors, tax professionals and tax attorneys. We normally work with professionals at the experienced senior to upper management levels. We cover the entire country, with an emphasis on the New York tri-state and northeast areas, as well as specific matters in India and the Philippines.
Our placements include permanent, full-time, temporary, temp-to-perm, part-time and retained search jobs.
GSC's career advice and counseling practice offers a diverse package of available services which are tailored to the individual needs of its client candidates. Our career counselors have a wealth of valuable experience and expertise. In addition, GSC may draw upon an affiliated national network of certified career advisors if needed.

Joe Scott - President
Before starting his recruiting career in 1997, Scott was Corporate Controller of Trigen Energy Corporation, a NYSE publicly traded company. Previously, he was Internal Audit Director then Assistant Corporate Controller of Tyco International, Inc. He started his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers. He is a CPA and graduated summa cum laude from Georgetown University.
Cathy Brennan - Managing Director
Cathy has over 25 years of very successful accounting, audit and tax placement experience with Access Staffing, the Peak Organization, and Robert Half Inc. She is highly skilled in both the management and recruiting of permanent, temporary and temp-to-perm positions. We are very proud to have Cathy with us.
Eva Wojcicki - Managing Director
Eva is responsible for business development, counselor recruiting, general management and human resources. She has over 15 years of related experience at senior levels in various industries with exceptional success. Her previous employers include Goldmark Products, Inc. and Plaza Automall, Inc.
