JOB TYPES
Permanent jobs - our cumulative retention rate for permanent and full-time jobs after one year of employment is 97%, including a sizeable percentage of business from higher turnover public accounting. This speaks well to our qualifying procedures and judgment.
Temporary jobs - included in this general category are temporary, project, part-time and temp-to-perm jobs. Our counselors are experienced working in all of these areas. GSC has the systems and procedures needed, including: the above-noted candidate screening; time reporting; payroll; billing and full insurance.
Retained search - this form of recruiting is extremely useful for high-level, confidential and difficult to fill positions. We dedicate a team with full resource support until the position is successfully filled.

Accounting - we are expert in recruiting and placements for accounting jobs at the experienced staff, analyst, senior, manager, director, controller and vice president levels. Companies span from middle market to Fortune 500. Industries include financial services of all types, manufacturing, real estate, distribution, media, advertising, transportation, professional services and other.
Audit - we are extremely knowledgeable of the public accounting market as well as the recruitment and placement of auditors and accountants for public accounting firms. We are familiar or work with firms covering the entire market, and have access to a vast number of candidates. Together with our tax group, we have a long record of success in public accounting.
Internal Audit - our internal audit practice comprises financial, operational, risk management, compliance, Sarbanes-Oxley and IT audit positions. Clients include Fortune 500 and middle market corporations of various industries, banks and other financial service institutions, public accounting firms and other entities. We are fully aware of the rigors of internal audit, and are careful to match the needs of our clients with our candidates regarding: advancement to internal management positions; types of audit work performed; travel; overtime and work environment.
Tax - GSC's founder built a significant tax recruiting practice in the New York tri-state area at his previous employer, and that is the starting benchmark for GSC's national tax practice. Tax placements are split approximately 50% each between: corporations and other private entities; and public accounting firms. We generally recruit for and place tax senior, manager, director and vice-president jobs. All areas of tax are covered, including federal, state and international corporate, partnership, individual, fiduciary and other types. Our services encompass generalist tax positions as well as specialty positions such as: FASB ASC 740 income tax accounting, tax audits, IFRS, transfer pricing, tax technology and software, section 382, R&D tax credits, expatriate taxes etc.
Tax Attorneys - we recruit for and place tax attorneys and other tax research and planning professionals with corporations, financial institutions, law firms and public accounting firms.
FEES AND GUARANTEES
Our philosophy is to provide premium service at highly competitive market terms, resulting in a real value advantage. Consistent with our mission statement of building careers, we focus on placements for the long-term. As highlighted on the Home page, although we have the following stated terms and guarantees, we offer the over-riding guarantee of client satisfaction. If a client is unsatisfied at any time, GSC will re-do the work or provide a full credit.
General fee arrangements are: Permanent jobs: % of initial year salary and guaranteed bonus, complete 90 day guarantee consisting of replacement or refund at client's option. Temporary jobs: hourly rate inclusive of all costs applied to hours approved by client, complete guarantee of client satisfaction with hours and performance. Temp-to-perm jobs: pro rata reduction of permanent fee over twelve months of temporary employment. Retained search: agreed upon flat fee or % fee, initial deposit, remainder due upon start date, client owns all work output, full performance guarantee.
